What Are Your Rules When It Comes To Prospecting

I found that the post written byTerry Dean had a lot in common with how I run my network marketing business:
Would you invest in your company?
Most people will reply, “Of course, I’m already investing my time, my energy, and my money into my company.”
But often you’re only doing so because of a “hope” you may have to succeed.
Instead, step outside the moment. Pretend you’re not personally involved in this company. Pretend you haven’t invested anything in it yet.
Detach yourself from the emotion of “your thing” for a moment.
I always ask my team when they are prospecting people to have posture. It’s you who is doing the interviewing not the prospect. Make sure you always lead the meeting and have a series of predefined questions to be able to access if the person you are prospecting is suitable to join your team.
When a new member joins the team, its a break of make moment. Make sure the person brings value to the team and is a team player. If you don’t observe this simple rule your team will be affected badly. Moral and performance could possibly drop.
Never bend the team rules to suit the new comer. Rather make sure he or she understands well from the start what it takes to be part of your team.
Here are few pointers regarding team rules:
1. Make sure the person follows the system of your parent company.
2. Attend all meetings whether they be corporate or the ones you run personally for your team.
3. Reads a leadership book a month.
4. Stays on the core products every month.
5. Is on the maintenance program of the company.
