Home Based Business Tips On Earning Extra In The Philippines

I am sitting in the Seattle’s Best Coffee, a cafe in Greenbelt 2, Makati City, Philippines. This is day 8 and the start of week 2 in the Philippines here after I arrived from Brisbane last Sunday.
This year I am even more focused on my mission here in Manila looking for the keen business developer who wants to partner me in my growth in my global home based business here in the Philipines.
Unlike last year I am not interested in taking time out in helping people if they are not ready for change. How do I create change in people if they don’t want to initiate it. Yes, it does take extra effort and a bit of time but “Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes!”
In the last 7 years in network marketing, I have realized that for my business to grow I had to implement change from the top and that starts with me. Here are some of the changes I have started to place into my life:…
- I am Placing myself where positive people mingle…
- I have started to ask people more powerful than me for help. This maybe for ideas, mentorship or direction in what I do. I am also asking them to endorse me to family and friends. …
- This year I am looking for just 2 or 3 focused people who want change badly.
This short list has helped me to stay focus and not to look at all the noise and fuss that happens when you are sharing a networking marketing business with people. I am looking for people who want more out of life and want it now.
They should not have excuses and use time, money or family as a reason why they should wait. These people must be willing to come in at the business level, be willing to be mentored and be taught what makes the business work if they are to join my team in business.
They should not question the system but rather find out how they can use the business model in building a successful home based business in the Philippines and globally. Having an acceptance that business does have an initial investment, running cost both monthly and yearly and some consistent work is a must for success.
If you have what it takes to become successful, not afraid of change and can learn from failures to grow more powerful then let’s hear from you.
One of the most important qualities I am looking for is the ability to learn and help others to learn. Passing on knowledge is foremost in networking business and I am willing to help you learn all of this. You will have to give me your time and energy for the first month and do everything I ask you to do if you want to join my team.

How to give value to potential customers so they buy from you!

How to look after customers?
When you approach customers for the first time after they ask you about how you can help them you need to follow a series of steps to have the right outcome which should be good not only for you but for the customer. Remember to have a win-win all times.
To do that you need to ask people a few questions. This is called raport building or getting to know your customer.
For example ( if the query is about weight loss):
- How did you get to know my company’s products?
- Have you had a chance to try these products before?
- Did you learn of these great products from a family member or friend, and if so are they able to look after you? Do you want me to look after your enquiry now as I would love to be of assistance to you.
- Could I ask you a few questions why you are looking at weight loss products? ( in case thats a answer they gave you before)?
- Have you tried other weight loss products in the past?
- Were these products you tried beneficial?
In case the answer is no! Then proceed to say your company’s products are different as they look at weight management and not weight loss. In doing so they will approach losing weight and optimal health for a long term prospective, unlike many other programs that only look at the immediate problem of losing weight. Here its about taking off the weight but keep it off long term too. Re-assure them!
Ok this is what I recommend right now for you. (Name a few products)
Then go on to show the benfits: Now tell them the benefits for example that they could possibly lose 5 to 10 pounds in 5 days of on on the detox stage of the product. Ask them is losing 5 to 10 pounds important to them? In case they say yes, then reassure them that they will feel terrific and will probably go down one pant size when they finish the 5 day program. Ask them if that is exciting? You need to get your customer excited if they are going to buy from you.
Then ask them when they want to get started on the products. If they say in a week’s time then mention that you will send them some information on what the products’ all about by email and will follow up with them, say on saturday next week at 10am. Then ask them is Sat at 10am good with you (ask Them)?
If they say the want to reduce weight immediately then mention that you can get them their products in 3 to 4 working days and they could start on the products by middle of the following week. Again ask them if this is god for them getting to start next week.
If they are keen then proceed to the next step by saying that you need to get the products’ paperwork out of the way so you can process their order and have the products delivered as soon as possible.
Now the taking of the order (follow this step in teh order I have wriiten it down, always works):
Ask them what name they want on the order slip
Then ask them what would be the delivery address that the products be shipped out too. Mention that all products will come from the central warehouse in their country and if its the US then it will be from the office in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Then proceed to mention that they just need probably the detox pack for the 5 days. Once they are happy with the 5 day program then they may go to the next step in the weight management program and you will help them do that after they finish the first step after 5 days.
Tell them they are eligible for a 15% discount as they will be ordering direct from the company and will get preferrencial treatment and will avail of wholesale prices. Are they happy with the discount and savings.
Now ask them if they want delivery by express postage which will be around $14 USD ( 3 days) or if they want it by ordinary mail at around $6 per parcel. It will probably take 10 days for the ordinary mail. In some cases its faster.
Finally ask them how they plan to pay for the products. Is it by Visa or Mastercard?
If they say Mastercard then ask them for their full name on the card. Repeat it after they give it to you.
Then ask them for the expiry date on their card and again repeat it to them.
Once you have these details tell them you will process their order and send them an email immediately with their order number and total amount including postage. If they should ask for the amount before you process it then all you need to do is add up the wholesale prices and add $6 or $14 to the price above and give it to them.
Now in case the customer wants to ring the company directly, all you need to do is give them you distributor number along with the company 1800 number and tell them to quote that number to get the 15% discount mentioned earlier. Give them the office hours and this is found on the pricelist. Tell them that you will forward a pricelist of the products so as to make it easy for the customer, in addition include the products you mentioned above below with their item numbers so that when the customer rings the 1800 number they can do it effortlessly and will be happy with your service.
Happy customers bring good business and repaet sales long term. Secondly once you have built a good relationship with this customer you can proceed to request referrals, a thing which good business depends upon. Referrals!
Thats all to it!
Once the orders have been processed either by you or through the company CSR at the HQ, you and the customer will get an email confirming the order.
Remember to ring the customer around teh expected delivery date so you make sure teh customer does get their products and you can walk through how they can use the products for the best results.
I hope these simple steps have helped you in helping customers today.

Why understanding Network Marketing is important?

As a networker, your success will depend upon two vital elements- personal skills and the compensation plan of the company you attach yourself too. Now don’t get confused by rank advancement as that depends a lot of what you do just now.
PS: These factors are widely seen in countries where the income level is relatively lower and huge compensation plan blowouts attract innocent people with huge testimonial of one or two top income level networkers in a company. You will find this common in the Philippines or evven in Malaysia where I have heard such testimonials being spun by networkers.
PSS: Let us not forget that product quality must be of utmost importance too when looking at a business model.
What we really mean if, by working your compensation plan to maximise your organisation acccording to your business objectives. Do not look at your compensation plan as just a method of payment but rather as a tool designed to reward you for skills and behavior you show in your business. I shall explain this in depth in a future post.
By studying your compensation plan your rewards will be enhanced.
Quite a few people look at a MLM company’s business or compensation plan as the beginning and end of their due diligence process. Most amateur network markers chase the fast start bonuses as they get drawn to the unrealistic high commision rates and incredible wealth testimonials spun by distributors of multilevel companies.
As we all know, huge incredible commision payouts come with incredible hurdles to jump over by distributors. Most companies spin huge success stories of one or 2 of its top multi-million-dollar distributors in the company. Your chance to be one of these top multi level achievers is slim as the hurdles are too high for the average person in the company to jump over. One of the reasons is that most networkers work their business part time and cannot cross these huge volume requirements set to achieve the big bonuses.
In subsequent post I shall explain what you should be looking for in a business plan and in a company if working at home is attractive to you.

Network Marketing Tips- Failing Forward in 2011

With 2010 racing to the finish line and New Year’s day looming in front of me just hours away I wanted to pen down down what was important to me in the year gone by and the key points that made the year tick.
The year started off with a rush when Vicki and I decided that we take the risk in both time and money and that I work in the Philippines expanding our ever growing Usana business overseas. It was a hard call as we both knew that commiting to work in Manila would mean that I would have to be away from home 6 to 8 weeks at a time with short breaks inbetween and the routine would go on for a minimum of 24 months and take us right through to the end of 2011.
Knowing what we know from our days in Malaysia, building our business there in Usana, I pulled out in 11 months as the family strings called me home when my then 14 year old teenage son said “dad you got to come home, I am growing up fast”.
The adverse effect was that I left weak, fledgling teams back in KL and Penang, Malaysia and though they managed to survive, it would have been best if I stayed on and supported them for another 12 months or so.
So its now the end of 2010, I have 12 months behind me and how have I faired so far. We did our balance sheet the other day and Vicki said that we have doubled our income since Jan 2010 to date. Though a part of it has gone to support me being away from home in the Philippines, it sure has been profitable.
And it was all done working part time with my home based business. Soon by end of 2011 or mid 2012, I may not need to do what I am doing now and the effort will pay me for years to come. Pretty good for just parttime work in Luzon, Philiipines.
So what can I take to 2011 from this experience.
- Be passionate with whatever you undertake
- Be sincere and commited to the project and have the utmost faith it will work out
- Monitor your progress month by month and learn by “Failing Forward” each time you come to hurdles. Life is meant to have problems, Just learn more skills to overcome the new problems that pop up from time to time.
- Sharpen your networking skills and make new friends and tap into their networks. In essence foster relationships.
- Learn to “TIDE” generously. Remember tiding is a way of giving back what is not yours. The 10% you give is actually what someone long ago invested in you and the only way it can multiple is to give it back which helps increase it ten fold.
- Have a Plentiful Mindset and discard your Scarcity outlook on life. Look at your cup half full insteady of it being half empty.
- Share Network Marketing with people as it’s one of the most risk free options to help people today to get out of the “Rat Race” and become debt free.
Looking forward to a great 2011. See you there!
Happy New Year to all.
