I also want to draw your attention to a great formula I learnt about evaluating people and their intentions from my mentor John.

He calls it the “Wanna Bee Rules”!
Have you heard of the saying “I wanna be a doctor, or I wanna be a pilot”! Well these people are called “wanna bees” by my friend John.

Let me explain the 4 types of wanna bees you will come across in your career.

Never Bees: these people somehow don’t have the skills or abilities suited for what you are offering them and never be a success in your organization. An example here is quite often we want a family member to share in your so called business and entice him or her to become part of it, inspire of the fact they may never have the skills or ability to ever make a success of it. I would recommend that you either ignore them or just try and make them customers of yours.

Could Bees: this group of people appear to have the skills and abilities and may be confident and mislead you in believing they could be valuable in your business. But they are missing one important factor for success and that’s being disciplined. They just don’t like coming for trainings, reading books or have an opinion on all subjects, without even knowing what it’s all about. These people are a waste of time as they are not suited for you to try motivating.

Should Bees: this is one group you pay close attention to. These people may have a little skills and some abilities and are open to change and will follow and allow you to mentor them. They are disciplined and is see success as long as you are a good mentor to them.

Must Bees: these people have all the abilities and skills needed for success but so far as lacked the right opportunity for real success. Reach out to them and you will have a great leader.

How to give value to potential customers so they buy from you!

January 17, 2011 by

How to look after customers?

When you approach customers for the first time after they ask you about how you can help them you need to follow a series of steps to have the right outcome which should be good not only for you but for the customer. Remember to have a win-win all times.

To do that you need to ask people a few questions. This is called raport building or getting to know your customer.

For example ( if the query is about weight loss):

  • How did you get to know my company’s products?
  • Have you had a chance to try these products before?
  • Did you learn of these great products from a family member or friend, and if so are they able to look after you? Do you want me to look after your enquiry now as I would love to be of assistance to you.
  • Could I ask you a few questions why you are looking at weight loss products? ( in case thats a answer they gave you before)?
  • Have you tried other weight loss products in the past?
  • Were these products you tried beneficial?

In case the answer is no! Then proceed to say your company’s products are different as they look at weight management and not weight loss. In doing so they will approach losing weight and optimal health for a long term prospective, unlike many other programs that only look at the immediate problem of losing weight. Here its about taking off the weight but keep it off long term too. Re-assure them!

Ok this is what I recommend right now for you. (Name a few products)

Then go on to show the benfits: Now tell them the benefits for example that they could possibly lose 5 to 10 pounds in 5 days of on on the detox stage of the product. Ask them is losing 5 to 10 pounds important to them? In case they say yes, then reassure them that they will feel terrific and will probably go down one pant size when they finish the 5 day program. Ask them if that is exciting? You need to get your customer excited if they are going to buy from you.

Then ask them when they want to get started on the products. If they say in a week’s time then mention that you will send them some information on what the products’ all about by email and will follow up with them, say on saturday next week at 10am. Then ask them is Sat at 10am good with you (ask Them)?

If they say the want to reduce weight immediately then mention that you can get them their products in 3 to 4 working days and they could start on the products by middle of the following week. Again ask them if this is god for them getting to start next week.
If they are keen then proceed to the next step by saying that you need to get the products’ paperwork out of the way so you can process their order and have the products delivered as soon as possible.
Now the taking of the order (follow this step in teh order I have wriiten it down, always works):

Ask them what name they want on the order slip
Then ask them what would be the delivery address that the products be shipped out too. Mention that all products will come from the central warehouse in their country and if its the US then it will be from the office in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Then proceed to mention that they just need probably the detox pack for the 5 days. Once they are happy with the 5 day program then they may go to the next step in the weight management program and you will help them do that after they finish the first step after 5 days.

Tell them they are eligible for a 15% discount as they will be ordering direct from the company and will get preferrencial treatment and will avail of wholesale prices. Are they happy with the discount and savings.

Now ask them if they want delivery by express postage which will be around $14 USD ( 3 days) or if they want it by ordinary mail at around $6 per parcel. It will probably take 10 days for the ordinary mail. In some cases its faster.

Finally ask them how they plan to pay for the products. Is it by Visa or Mastercard?
If they say Mastercard then ask them for their full name on the card. Repeat it after they give it to you.

Then ask them for the expiry date on their card and again repeat it to them.
Once you have these details tell them you will process their order and send them an email immediately with their order number and total amount including postage. If they should ask for the amount before you process it then all you need to do is add up the wholesale prices and add $6 or $14 to the price above and give it to them.
Now in case the customer wants to ring the company directly, all you need to do is give them you distributor number along with the company 1800 number and tell them to quote that number to get the 15% discount mentioned earlier. Give them the office hours and this is found on the pricelist. Tell them that you will forward a pricelist of the products so as to make it easy for the customer, in addition include the products you mentioned above below with their item numbers so that when the customer rings the 1800 number they can do it effortlessly and will be happy with your service.

Happy customers bring good business and repaet sales long term. Secondly once you have built a good relationship with this customer you can proceed to request referrals, a thing which good business depends upon. Referrals!

Thats all to it!

Once the orders have been processed either by you or through the company CSR at the HQ, you and the customer will get an email confirming the order.

Remember to ring the customer around teh expected delivery date so you make sure teh customer does get their products and you can walk through how they can use the products for the best results.

I hope these simple steps have helped you in helping customers today.

Pros & Cons Of Home Based Business, What to keep in mind when Looking at extra income

The Pros & Cons Of A Home Based Business

Having a business run from home has many advantages. We love having a low cost home run business simply because it could give us some extra cash and also for its flexibility. Men and women from all walks of life get attracted either from a hobby perspective or making money part time. Quite often these hobby businesses turn out to be very profitable enterprises.

To have a clear idea on how network marketing works look at the movie "BRILLIANT COMPENSATION".

Home Based Business has many virtues as well as short comings. For people who want independence yet with a feeling of interdependence then a good home based business in network marketing will provide you all that. Most network marketing companies will offer you the freedom to work for yourself and yet not by yourself. This way you get the best of both worlds.

The freedom to work for oneself and the promise of extra income is always very attractive. Most home based business are relatively cheap and easy to get into with little or no past experienced required.

Most networking or franchise opportunities give the new business owner ample resources to get started on the right track.

Network marketing is a fantastic way to start and though it may have many advantages it can also have its short comings , though they maybe comparatively few. To mention a few, well  to start with you need discipline and focus. You need to set your goals and game plan to succeed. Though you have a lot of support and mentoring you do need to have a very strong desire and a huge dream in place. This is help heaps when you feel discouraged and want to quit as most often what you invested is not a lot and quitting can be a lazy option out especially when you have not much to lose as compared to a franchise investment, where quitting is not easy.

Want to know what the wealthy buy on PayDay then Click Here>>>

The drawback of a franchise is that it will cost a bit more. You are buying a proven business model and have to work the hours to make the income. In franchises you do work for yourself and also by yourself. You have fantastic training from the Franchisers yet you are expected to work your business all by yourself. You can ask for advice and quite often its free. Other times you may be billed for specialized training. Most extensive training in franchises will have to be paid for and most often you are compelled to attend as its part of your franchise agreement.

Most franchises start off at around the $25K mark and the income is limited to the hours worked. This is similar to traditional business models. Some franchises can make you very rich depending on the amount spent or the franchise purchased into.

I shall go into the pros and cons of comparing the two ie  "networking vs franchises" in a later review. If you want information fast take a look at two special videos on a website of mine. Click here!

Disclaimer: I do not make any income claims nor do I run down network marketing or franchising. Each has their place in our business world. My little exercise here is just my thoughts to help you move forward right now.

What do I mean by "Independence"?

Most people want to be their own boss and try their best to run away from employment only to risk everything in a tiny ice cream franchise or single operator venture to find themselves trapped even more than when they were in employment. Good examples in the western world are lawn mowing franchises. You get a slightly above income yet work more than a 40 hour week in the harsh sun.

Trying to find independence by jumping into business may not be the right way to go about looking for a solution to your financial worries or better working conditions. If you do that you will find that you have created a bigger trap than what employment had in store for you.

Want to learn a clever way to work  >>> Click Here.

Just take a stroll around your local Super mart and see the poor operators working or for a better word- "SLAVING" away the lion share of the hours just to scrap together a living. They most often cannot take extended holidays like most well paid, or above average paid employees enjoy.

So why do they do this to themselves? The answer is most people live paycheck to paycheck. They don’t save up or have any financial backing behind them. When they lose their jobs or come to retirement they are forced to take on extra work.

Most often they cannot find work because they are too old or not skilled for the next job. So the only way they can get a living is to buy themselves a job. Just look around you and see what the age group of ice cream vendors, lawn movers, courier drivers are? Most will be over 40 years old and quite a few over 55 Years old.

Do you want to be like them too?

If nothing changes nothing will change and you will find yourself doing what they are doing in 5 to 10 years from now… Slaving Away!!

Do you see yourself doing this?

These poor people have risked their home mortgages to get the finances together to raise capital just to buy themselves a job. Shopping Center management love these people as they pay high rentals and will not easily walk away from their leases as they can be sued. I was one such victim 11 years ago.

I am speaking from Experiences!

I am speaking from experiences of being one such operator in the nineties. It was hard work. I rarely saw the sun, let alone my kids back then.

Most small time operators actually do that going from a 38 hour week to maybe working over 65 to 70 hours for less money. They call themselves being the boss but in reality they actually work harder for less money. They may seem to earn more. Have a bigger house, fancy cars, etc. But do they have the free time to enjoy it all. Most often the poor family works late into the night just catching up with the day’s paperwork and getting ready for the next day’s work load.

Is there a better way? Click Here>>>

Well here are some of the Pros of having a home based business:

  • You work for yourself
  • You set your working hours if all is good
  • You define your work place and who you work with
  • Your income most often depends entirely on your efforts. Most often you land up earning more than what you get from a job. Though you may be putting in 30 to 50% more time.
  • You do not answer to any one
  • You can have a feeling of satisfaction when things go your way

The Cons of a homebased Business:

  • If you have staff they answer to you and any mistakes you get to keep the blame
  • You can land up working longer hours as your work spot is in your spare bedroom, only a few feet away.
  • If the business makes little or no money you don’t get any income
  • If you work harder you don’t get over time
  • All initial expenses will come out from your personal savings.

In spite of this most people want to work for themselves. There is a catch.

If you want to have a business make sure its INTERDEPENDENT or in other words, though it may look like you are now independently working for yourselves you are not working by yourself. You have a team of people who also work independently yet all of you contribute or are responsible in a way for each others success.

This can translate in a WIN-WIN for all.

Find a business model that does not compromise the two parties in the business, its a win-win for both.

You can pool in your resources of skills and time and build huge businesses for yourself yet be independent.

I hope I have not got you all confused by now.

Most people are not aware that MLM or multi-level marketing companies offer individuals to do exactly that to the last letter. You work independently though you are not by yourself. Your co-distributors as well as the company will train and support you to get your your first cheque. No-where else will you get free training as that seen in network marketing companies. In fact you will be encouraged to do better in the team as your performance will never undermine that of the team in any way. ( Other topics- How to select a home based business?)

This is a great WIN-WIN proposition where there are no compromises. Everyone will win on their their terms.

If you have no idea what is network marketing then here is a simple explanation. I have a fantastic video on one of my sites and you are welcome to go there and see what the whole concept is all about. The information is totally free. In case you want to know which company i belong then drop me a line and I will share that with you too.

Home Based Business For Mums In Brisbane?

How To Make Money Through Network Marketing?

Today I am going to tackle the question on how to make money through multi level maketing. The main issue is here is first putting you at ease with the business structure seen in network marketing.

Read more on our review page

What I found out recently?

I have been talking to many people in the business world and recently had the opportunity to talking to a person who ran a lawn mowing VIP franchise in Australia. These are some of the questions I asked him and he was polite to answer me as I was prying into his persoanl business life.

  • 1. What made you look at a franchise? he said the security of having a parent company with a proven business system and training was important to him. I thought that was a fairly good answer considering the amount of knowledge we need to have before we actually open the doors for a business.
  • 2. What is the average cost of a lawn mowing run or business? Most lawn mowing businesses go for around $30,000 dollars and that does not include the truck, lawn mowers, and other equipment you need. For a business its rather cheap and not too expensive.
  • 3. What are the annual fees that you may incur in a Franchise? Most franchises of this size will cost around $700 per month or around the $7000 to $9000 per year annual cost.
  • 4. What do you get for the fees paid? Nothing except the support of being part of the company.
  • 5. Is training free? No! Any training is paid for and can vary depending on the type of trainin g delivered.
  • 6. What income does an average run except to get in lawn mowing? Around $1500 before running expences and taxes.
  • 7. How many hours a week do you have to work to get this income? Around 50 to 60 hours in teh hot sun was the answer.
  • 8. Can you expect to increase your income over time? No, unless I work more hours.

Now lets see what Network marketing Can Offer you instead?

If you were looking for a home based business in Brisbane, Queensalnd and narrowing down to a franchise , I would suggest that you do some more research as there are other options available that coudl give you a far better return than that of a regular franchise.

Here are some interesting facts of what you may expect from a good network marketing company.

  • 1. Do you get training and support? The answer is yes. All training is free and is delivered both by the parent corporate company as well as the team leaders in your city.
  • 2. The average cost of getting into a network marketing company is around the $500 to $600 mark with cheaper and more expnsive options available depending upon your eagerness to grow your business slower or faster. Around 4 to 5 % of a regular franchise cost.
  • 3. The annual fees are around the $2400 mark or just $200 per month.
  • 4. The $200 per month is for products you may puchase either for yourself or your customers. Much better than a franchise.
  • 5. Yes most of all the training is free and is there is a chrge its normally not more than $15 dollars for a whole day of training.
  • You can expect to grow a 5 or six figure income from this low start up cost of $2500 and the possibility of unlimited potential is also available.
  • You will just need to put in 10 to 15 hours a week in your own home based business.
  • Limited Hours. Your hours never increase inspite of the increase in earnings.
