Don’t Let Me Down Said My Gym Instructor The Other Day!

I am writing this short story about what happened to me not long ago and hope it will inspire you to take action in what evver you are doing right now.

If you want a mentor to help you with your own home based business whether it be in the Philippines, Malaysia, Australia or the US, do ask me.  Click here!

How often our performances go unnoticed.

Now there is a moral behind this story here so do keep reading as it might be helpful….
Last week I had an unpleasant surprise when my former gym instructor told me that he could no longer train me as he was being transfer. I had gotten used to Jay who was easy going, which I later realised was not in my interest at all.

I was being thrown out of my comfort zone…

So I was asigned to a guy I felt scared off called Mark. Now Mark had nothing going for him that said he was “bad”. Except he was Mr. Muscles and I was always in awe of him. I somehow felt that he would be hard to train under.

To my surprise I was asked to take Mark as my new trainer. Though being a bit put off as I was scared as now I really had to work out or else Mark would get upset.

Surpisingly after the first work out with Mark last week, I remembered texting him to say how much I really enjoyed the training session. For the first time in 16 weeks I felt I was being pushed beyond myself and was getting value for my money.

Someone was actually taken an interest in my health.

Now the next few session went on just like the first day with Mark ( good and motivating) until yesterday when Mark said he wanted to take my weight and check to see how I had faired since July this year under Jay. He wanted to set new goals and had to see how I had faired in teh last 4 months.

He was really surprised that though I had gained some strengthen in core areas of my body, I had actually not lost any weight and was over weight for my height and age.

He then went on to set some targets so that I could lose approximately 2 pounds every week until I came down to 165 pounds. Currently I am 182 or 85.5 KGS.

Setting New Goals!

With just concentrating on losing 2 pounds  a week he said we could tackle the big steps ahead and get to our goal of around 75Kgs.

He then talked about diet and what should I eat. I was told not to eat too much rice, avoid fatty foods and fast foods, no cappchinos or ice teas, nor beer which is my weakness in Manila.

Do you know how I felt listening to him. Him telling me to give up all teh goodies I loved from sweets to beer.

Thats ruled out all the fun things I was doing before, during and after work. He sensed that and then surprised me when he hit me in the guts with quite a cool request whcih set me straight then and there. It goes as:

“Claude, do you know that if you fail in becoming fit, it woudl reflect on me as your
trainer. Are you aware I am prepared to give you 100% of my time and energy and expertise to help you succeed in attaining your goal of getting fit.”

I said I was… to which he then said

” can you keep your end of the deal and I will keep mine so we can get you to your goal. Remember you will be letting me down if you don’t reach your goal as my career depends on your performance  here at Fitness First.”

Guess what!

He did not have to say much more. I was and am still committed to staying on track as he had my future in mind with those words.

I thank Mark for his kindness yesterday.

I am commited to staying fit for myself and will not let him down as he is now my buddy rather than my gym instructor.

Now there is a reason why I thought I should share this with you today.

Why am I sharing this….

I am in a MLM company and quite often my team members feel they are being pushed by
me so that I could get a bigger income.

The fact is true I do, but its much deeper than that.

Obviously if they do well I will but what if I am putting in 100% in helping them earn an income, and they don’t realise that.

Do they realise that just like Mark I have a profile that protrays who I am as a leader. Their success is my success too.

What if they don’t keep their part of the business deal and build they business how else will they earn money, and if they don’t earn money it does refect on my mentorship.

I started to ask my distributors now are they prepared to give me their level best considering the fact that they are building this in their part time.

I do understand that, but are they willing to give 100% just like me in those part time hours they have commited to their home based business.

If the answer is “yes” then I am also willing to help them 100% just like my trainer in my gym does to me.

Its a Win-Win for both of us then if we have a common interest and that is to promote the products of our company.

By following Mark’s example I have now started to help my new team members as well as the old ones to work with me to attain their dreams, keeping their maintainance every month upto date, learning from other team members as well as from the corporate on business matters.

I hope this little story can help people who are struggling in their home based businesses.

Please be free to leave a comment if you want that may help us all.

God Bless

How to apprectiate your home based business, Work from home

How Good Is Your Company?

Case Study-1:

In today world we are faced with trying times, but inspite of this there are huge opportunities abounding.

PS: If you find my story below interesting how about we connect either through Facebook or get my eNewsletter so I can mentor you. I run a global home based business and look for people from time to time to mentor.

Now for the rest of the story….

People all around talk about hardships and trials that come their way daily. They most often complain about their employers and always want more from their employment rather than say let’s give more to our company and keep our company afloat in difficult financial times.

How about we learn to give before we demand!

I was impressed with a story that my brother-in-law a few months ago narrated. He mentioned something over dinner to a bunch of us guys one night in Brisbane on one of my trips back home this year from Manila in the Philippines. He is a very generous, gracious and unassuming guy and we all love him for his gentle nature. He is over 6 feet tall and is a gentle giant.

Now Frank ( I am sure he won’t mind me mentioning his name here) belongs to a huge mining company in Queensland, Australia and was speaking of special bonuses the mine has for its employees. One such bonus for existing employees at that time was to reward an existing employee if they were to recommend a future employee to the mining company.

What a way to attract staff to a company. Word of mouth advertising is the best recomendation for any company. We all do networking of sorts everyday and this moning company was using existing staff to market their company through word of mouth marketing, Networking!

The bonus was good, around $2000 if I remember right which is probably the wage of the new employee for a week. In other words its a close Matching Bonus to what an employee would get for a week.

 How good was that!

Imagine getting a one OFF “Matching Bonus” for every employee you brought into the mining company. That would pay for any existing bills or even a good holiday if you knew of an electrician the mine needed.

You could set up your own little recruiting agency on the side just to supply workers to the mine, LOL!

Better still what if you came across a deal or a permanent promotion from your company that rewarded you to recommend your company to others. What if this company gave you a BONUS every time the future employee earned and better still what if you got it for 26 weeks of the life of that new employee in your company.

 Would that be exciting!

And here is another more exciting thing. If your company could give you a 100% Match of the future employee’s earnings would you get even more excited.

 I would!

So why do companies do this?

Global companies want to attract the best people into the work force whether it be miners or sales people. Quite often and most often these people are hidden away from the public eye and maybe be known to someone in the existing company.

It’s far cheaper for the company to pay an existing staff member to find a trusted hard working worker than to find an ad with a marketing agency to do the recruiting.

Now the new employee has friends in the company who will train and support him. This is priceless to the employer as the best training is from trained staff. It does not cost more for the company in way of training and the training is the best. there is a vested interest for a trained staff to mentor the new comer.

That’s why they reward you. For all your hard efforts in helping the employer to grow and increase business.

Now there are many home based business offers in Australia, US, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines that come close to what I mentioned above but you need to look for them.

If you want more information on what I have been talking about and want an opportunity to earn some exciting bonuses then please do drop me a line through this webpage.

I am sure I can steer you in the right direction with Home based busines ideas.

Learn To Give Before You Reap In Your Home Base Business

November 18, 2010 by

Never Place yourself first- Always try to give more to others!

Here are two short examples to gain respect and trust from others whom you bump into daily:

PS: If you like my coaching and would like to know how you can build a business and earn maybe 200 USD or more per week with part-time effort of maybe 2 to 3 hours two or three times a week to start with, I can teach you how!

Case Study-1:

Most people who join a home based business initially just look at the small picture – “ME!”

How much can I make from this customer! What is the profit from this sale? What is the bottom line from this transaction!

What you don’t realise is the potential value each and every person you speak to has. This intrisic value is priceless that each person has.

Let me explain!

Imagine if you don’t make any profit from a sale on day one but that person goes on to be a regular customer buying from your company every month for the next 5 to 10 years. Would that add to your bottom line.

Better still if you get 5 referrals from that person or even just 2 and from that fertile referral bed you grow a customer base of a 100 loyal customers in the next year.

Would that add to you bottom line!

You bet it will!

Stop chasing customers to just get profits, give value so they trust you and your products. Thats the way you can get long term business and have peace of mind. Both – your customers know they are in trusted hands and you know you will never have a dry day.

Case Study-2:

Always be open and sincere with your customers. Recently about a month ago my personal trainer at my GYM, asked me to do him a favor by getting my personal training sessions ahead of my schedule as he was in a fix to get his budget that month.

So to help him out I bought another set of training from him. He knew I would be travelling in the next few weeks in Oct 2010 and would not be able to finish the training before the expiry date.

I was not made aware of that my future training had an expiry date on it.

Was I in a shock today when I was told that I lost $100 in training or 6 sessions.

Imagine how upset and angry I was. My respect and trust for this person dropped to zero instantly.

Do you think I want to do business with him anymore!

In everyday life, you too may be tempted to do the same for a quick buck.

It does not pay as customers are not stupid and will move on.

Build relatioships and provide trust and support backed by integrity.

Thats the only way you can build a solid home based business.

I hope these thoughts help you through the day!

How To Find The Right Home Base Business For You!

Tips On Finding A Home Based Business!

Don’t fall for hype or huge promises of high returns in a few weeks. In all my years of running business I have seen so many dreams come crashing down when it comes to selecting a home based business.

There are signs around to take notice off!

Check evverything out.

Home based business are not necessarliy hard to find, in fact there are so many around that we find sort through the maze pretty hard.

Looking for a well tested and proven business to join then

Here are some key points to bear in mind when looking to join a home business to create extra income from home.

Point-1:  Look to see to if the company has a track record. This is far better than getting into a new company just to be a pioneer. With new companies come risks and in case the company is a success then you will benefit hugely. Its the same if things go bad, you could lose a lot of friends and associates as well as the time and money put into a venture such as an new up-start company.

In most cases the radars start to blink around the 4 to the 6 year that the company is in business. Take a good look at Google. It is a good example of waiting for the 4th to the 6th year to have got in. Now its a huge success and will be so for many years to come. Google only started to come to people’s attention in 2003-04 though it started in 2000. Today 10 years later everyone goes to Google.

Point-2: Look to see what products the company is offering. In todays world of commerce I would strongly go for a company with good products or services. A good industry to look at is the wellness industry. This is booming and will offer many opportunities as there are many good companies in this sector of commerce.

A word of caution! with booms come alot of scams so beware of companies with little or no financial backing, no scientific back ground or a lose-win compensation plan. Where you lose and the company wins. The business model must be a win-win for all- company as well as the distributors as long as the distributors put in the hard work that is. There is no free lunch! We are offering support in Malaysia, Philippines, US and Australia.

Point-3: Look at how the company marketing or business plan works. Does it pay favourably to people in the trenches who normally do most of the hard work. Don’t fall for hype that a company has the highest payout or meet the highest income level distributor.

Ask to talk to people who have just joined 3 months ago. Youw will get an idea how easy or hard it is when you talk to people who have been doing the business for 3 to 8 months.

In case people complain ask questions why are they not doing well. Maybe it could be them- their attitude, their commitment to their business or their level of training.

Don’t let a negative distributor turn you away from an opportunity. probably this dis-satisfied person did not attend the trainings, or spoke to people consistently. If they did and were not not successful, then ask a few more people to get a better feel of whats going on. Look for online reviews and again ask questions. Find out more

If these ordinary distributors can earn income within 8 to 12 weeks and you are convinced then its time to put your money where your mouth is.

Point-4: See what support and training is being offered by the home business company as well as the person bringing you in.

Mentorship

Online & Offline Support

In case your sponsor joined the company a week before you did then ask if you could have an extra person to mentor you as your sponsor is only new and learning as well.

Most companies have free online and off line training.

Point-5: Look to see if there is growth potential globally within the company. This will allow you to expand your business world wide over time and thus increase your profits.
