Requirements of any home based business

Why should we support our monthly expenditure or maintainance in our home based businesses?

A couple of days ago I sat in a presentation in a local cafe and watch Jackie Santiago explain the meaning of auto-ship to a potential business partner.

Jun a local garment businessman had a few questions that baffled me especially when he was in business himself. His concerns were about why was it hard to be on maintainance of just 3 products a month.

His concern was not the amount of money he could make or the strength of the company’s financial backing but just the fact that one had to sell 3 small products a month.

My argument to this was in traditional business we have to pay our rent each and every month or else we would be evicted.

So it is in network marketing businesses too. To be part of the global network of distributors one is required to either use or sell just 3 products that have a cumulative product volume in product points of just 100 points. We could use all these products or sell all these and in doing so we can take advantage of weekly incomes that could be very lucrative per week if we were to build a sizable network of product users.

That’s all there is to it. If you can sell three products you could possibly make well over a five income in pesos in the Philippines with your own part time business with a monthly inventory of only p7000 per month.

It’s ridiculously stupid but it’s true. The income and business is doable.

The other argument Jun put forth was why is it we need to pay our autoship when we don’t have any down-lines. This can be very easily explained.

Imagine in traditional business you were to tell the landlord that you will pay only when and if you get customers in and made a sale. Would that happen? Never! So how could a sensible businessman like Jun put forth such a crazy argument.

I am not sure why. Possibly he does not want the business opportunity. He does not see the potential the company has here in the Philippines or globally or maybe he is not keen to start anything else yet.

When we are talking to people about our home based business we should look to see if people want change, only then take the time to share.

Now a few quick thoughts on why maintainance …

The reason why we need to support autoship is purely that its the glue that keeps the business together. Imagine that we have 10 condo units rented out all the time and each is bringing us 25K pesos a month. That’s great residual income from that investment of millions of pesos of real estate.

Similarly when you have few or many distributors and customers in your multiple level business and each of them is on their monthly requirement each month, then all the product volume is money in the bank for you. It too is residual income.

To get started in a stable and viable home based business today in Philippines it takes around 30k pesos to get started. This has the potential to make you close to 750,000 php per month in 2 to 5 years if you do this seriously in an explosive market as the Philippines. But if you do treat it as a hobby it would be never productive and will never pay anything.
