Do you feel frustrated that you just cannot seem to save any money left over from your salary every fortnight.

Is Working Hard The Answer?

Let me explain why working hard and saving hard can most often not be the answer to your bank balance.

I ask people everyday if they lie at night with a question on the minds …

” why is it that life is so hard, I just cannot save enough?”.

The answer lies in this little exercise that is about to unfold in the next few lines.

If you are still reading I am sure you will be astonished with what I am about to share with you right now. I sometimes tell people if only I had known of this years ago when I was in my twenties. Today at 51 years old I try to save people financial heartache with what I have learnt so they don’t go through life like me years ago.

Ok let’s start….

I am going to ask you questions and as I cannot get the answer from you directly, I will give you the answer. Just let this narration work for you too.

Now most probably you have been to school for 12 years and your parents paid the tuition fees. This could have amounted to probably a p1000 a year not accounting for books and other expenses.

After school let’s imagine that you did your nursing degree. I chose nursing as most people apply for this these days in the Philippines.

How many years did you do nursing at college? … Four years

How many semesters are there per year? …. 2 semesters,

so you actually did 8 semesters for the whole duration of the course.

How much is a semester? Around p40,000 so actually your parents paid around p320,000 for your nursing degree.

If your parents were to have had saved that money in the bank at 5% per annum they would have made over 16,000 per month in interest alone.

But they sacrificed so that you could have a future.

Interestingly once you finished your degree you got a job at around 12 to 15,000 peso per month. The average income in the Philippines is around p12,000 so you have started off well.

But here it gets bad. Do you realized that after deductions such as income tax, SSS, PhilHealth, in the Philippines you will just get around p13500 per month or only p6750 per fortnight.

So let’s do a little exercise now.

Since we have earned p13,500 this month how do we portion out this money for our monthly expences. I am only going to list the most urgent cost below for survival only.

So…

Rent p3000
Food p4000
Transportation p2000
Internet and load for cellphone p1000
Water and electricity p1000

This totals to p11,000 and leaves you with just p2000 a month for medical, misc expenses.

But even if you could save that p2000 let imagine how you could fair in life.

If your savings in life is p2000 a month, then in 12 months you will have saved p24,000 and in 10 years it would be p240,000.

It would take you 40 years to just save a million pesos.

Do you dream of a having your own home, house and lot one day. Can you dream of a simple 2 million house and lot.

Well at the rate you are saving it would take you well over 80 years to get that.

So is there a solution to this problem. Yes there is….

Go overseas, work hard for 20 years and save enough to buy your own home and start a small business, such as a taxi business or a small fish bowl franchise or sari sari store.

What, at the expense of not having any family life, being away from your loved ones if you became an overseas worker. Is that a life you want?

There may be another answer to this problem…

Get a home based business now with a reputable global company that is offering Philipinos to do online and offline marketing to promote their products throughout the Philippines and overseas.

This company has attractive business packages that will pay you in US dollars weekly so you can earn p30,000 weekly or more so you can have a 5 Million home in less than 2 to 3 years from now.

If you are open to this idea just fill in the form above to the right and I shall get back to you.
